Joint Custody Child Support

Child Support And Custody Options

Often, when parents contemplate separation or divorce, the very first thing they may think of is where will they live, who will get the house, and the child or children. Courts and judges think of these things and many a new law has been put on the  books for Family Law. Joint Custody Child Support is something that they did place on the books in at least one state, Illinois quite a while. This law states that both parents will retain custody of their child or children, and they should agree and at least discuss matters pertaining to education, health care issues and religion.

These issues do matter to many families, married or divorced, so this is why this is mentioned in the law. At the core of our founding fathers ideals were these very principals, freedom of religion, speech, and life, of course. The importance of these very things should never be ignored by parents for their children. Even if you were divorced wouldn't you try to make sure that all of your child's health care needs were met. Even if you do not have enough money for health insurance, maybe your former spouse can keep the children on his or her policy. If that is not possible, maybe you and the former spouse can split the cost. Education should always be important, even for divorced parents who may not agree on their own issues, they should talk about and come to an agreement on the ones that pertain to their children.

Education should be important to your child if you help make it so. If they are distracted, talk to them about it. Stay informed with what they are doing and when assignments need to be turned in so they do not fail due to lack of interest. Stress to them how important their education is to both of you, and to them. If they know that you are not ignoring them, and you think they are important to you, they will feel much better.

Religion helps everyone broaden their thinking, and it helps many feel more grounded and connected to something that is bigger than themselves. Having a connection to a church and a church family helps everyone strengthen their support system to others.
